White Bohemia Chalice
Look closely at the oval lenses and you can still make out faint traces of gold, ghosts of a fine gilt outline that once traced each one, worn away over decades of handling and washing. Underneath that lost gilding is solid Bohemian craftsmanship. White opaline cut back to clear crystal in alternating panels, some plain and faceted, others filled with rows of shallow oval lenses. The bowl rests on a baluster stem while the foot finished with a star-cut underside.
Good condition overall. Some loss to the original gilding, light wear to the foot, no chips or cracks.
