A decorative bulb‑bodied jug (pichet) produced by Faïencerie de Gien, noted for its richly painted faïence using a palette inspired by East Asian aesthetics. The body features a rounded profile with a short neck, flared rim, and an applied loop handle. The surface is hand‑painted in polychrome, including cobalt blue, iron red, olive green, and touches of mustard yellow.

European centers imitated the style of Imari wares, initially in faience at Delft in the Netherlands. Imari patterns, as well as "Kakiemon" designs and palette of colors, influenced some early Orientalizing wares produced by Central Europe porcelain factories.

Overall good antique condition with age-related wear. The glaze shows fine, even craquelure, with scattered surface scratches and minor firing imperfections typical of Gien production. Small rim wear and light abrasions to the body consistent with use. No visible cracks or structural damage.
