A vivid example of Bohemian Tango glass, this low, sculptural piece was designed as a decorative bowl, vide-poche. Crafted in opaque orange glass, the form features a wide, softly ruffled rim outlined with a contrasting black thread of applied glass. The bold, high-saturation color and elegant form are hallmarks of Central European glassmaking during the Art Deco period.

Tango glass emerged in Bohemia in the early 20th century and was produced by numerous regional glassworks, known for their experimentation with striking color contrasts and fluid silhouettes. This piece exemplifies that playful yet refined design sensibility, and remains both functional and highly decorative.

Excellent vintage condition. No visible chips, cracks, or restorations; light wear to the base consistent with age.
