This small square cache pot is modeled in lead-glazed earthenware as a trompe l'oeil woodland box. Each of the four faces presents a distinct botanical panel, rendered in high relief with exceptional naturalistic precision. The interior is glazed in characteristic verdigris green. The base bears the painted mark "T.S" in iron oxide.
Good condition. Minor glaze wear consistent with age and period production. No chips or repairs visible.
Provenance: France
Materials: Lead-glazed earthenware
Manufacturer: Thomas-Victor Sergent, painted "T.S" mark
