This pair of sculptural Art Deco vases bears the impressed mark C.L.A. While the precise workshop remains unidentified, the crisp relief, weight, and satin-etched surface place the pair firmly within the vocabulary of French molded glass of the late 1920s–1930s, when ateliers such as Lalique, Etling, Hunebelle, and Verlys turned to stylised nature motifs and matte finishes to express a new decorative modernism.
