A complete graduated set of six solid brass liquid measures, each fitted with a curved hook handle and individually stamped with its capacity: 1 cL, 2 cL, 5 cL, 1 dL, 2 dL, and ½ Litre. The largest vessel carries a raised plaque reading “½ Litre”, a style typical of officially sanctioned French market and apothecary measures from the late 19th to early 20th century, when strict national standards governed commercial transactions following the post-Revolution adoption of the metric system. Made to withstand daily use in shops, pharmacies, and municipal weighing houses, these were not decorative pieces but certified trade tools—hence their functional, utilitarian construction and honest wear. Each cup shows a rich golden patina, contact marks, and darker oxidation consistent with age and authentic use.
