Urn-shaped silver sugar caster with domed pierced cover topped by a fluted knop finial. The body features vertical slotted piercings over a removable deep cobalt blue glass liner, flanked by applied lion mask ornaments. Decorative gadrooned and laurel leaf bands accent the rim and foot. This sugar shaker embodies a refined French Neoclassical Revival. The pierced silver body—featuring elongated vertical slats, beaded borders, and laurel-leaf ornament—nods to Louis XVI taste, where symmetry and ancient Roman motifs dominated. The vibrant cobalt-blue glass liner heightens the contrast and sophistication, a hallmark of luxury French tablewares of the Belle Époque.

Small official hallmarks to the cover and body. Minor surface wear and light tarnish to silver, cobalt glass liner intact with no visible chips or cracks. Piercings and details show slight irregularities consistent with hand craftsmanship.
