Gallia metal, introduced by Christofle in 1896, is a white metal alloy (tin, antimony, copper) developed as an affordable alternative to silver. Its malleability allowed refined Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs by leading artists, making Gallia an important medium for Christofle’s innovative decorative objects.
